Yamantaka and his consort are placed in a divine embrace at the center of this sacred Mandala, representing the confluence of wisdom (prajna) and skilled means (upaya). Celestial beings surround them, each adding to the vibratory energy of spiritual enlightenment. Makaras surround the Mandala, standing at the four directional entrances as mighty guardians, preserving the sanctity of the sacred realm.
The Guardians and Protectors form a second layer of heavenly defense, encircling the Lotus Petal Circle, which signifies purity and spiritual transformation and provides strength and guidance to individuals on the path to realization. The Outer Circle, also known as the Cosmic Dimensions, represents the immense expanse of interconnected existence. At the same time, the lavishly decorated Ring of Protection seals the Mandala's sacred realm, protecting it from negativity and enhancing its spiritual potency.
Above the Mandala, Avalokitesvara, the Bodhisattva of Infinite Compassion, emanates heavenly light, showering the composition with kindness.
