Hand-Painted Vintage Yamantaka Mandala
The Vintage Yamantaka Mandala showcases Yamantaka and his consort at the center, surrounded by layers of celestial beings, protectors, and cosmic symbolism. This hand-painted artwork intricately decorates each aspect with gold, creating a vibrant and sacred presence that blends artistic elegance with spiritual significance.
Yamantaka, the wrathful manifestation of Manjushri, is the central figure of the mandala, symbolizing the conquest of death and the annihilation of ignorance. He is depicted with his consort, representing a union of wisdom and method. Celestial beings surround them, radiating heavenly energy and enhancing the spiritual resonance of the mandala. Each directional gate is guarded by Makara, protecting the sacred space, while the lotus petals encircling the central composition symbolize enlightenment and purity.
Beyond the Lotus Circle, the mandala forms concentric layers. Guardians and protection deities surround the sacred lotus, ensuring its holiness. The Outer Circle: Cosmic Dimensions reflects the universe's interconnectedness, while the Ring of Protection, adorned with intricate gold filigree, serves as the mandala's final barrier, protecting it from negative influences.
Above the central mandala, the figure of Avalokitesvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, sits elegantly, bestowing blessings and divine direction. Mahakalas and Bodhisattvas can be seen on the mandala's sides, balancing wrathful protection and peaceful compassion. The artwork is framed by Makara symbols and delicate flower patterns, resulting in a harmonious blend of strength and beauty.
