About This Thangka:
Our handmade painting represents the Wheel Of Life. It is very likely the oldest Buddhist symbol, even older than the first Buddha statues. It is also known as Wheel of Karma or Bhavacakra and it is composed by 3 circles where are represented several aspects of the Buddhist philosophy.
These images represent the wheel of Karma, the law of cause and effect.
The darker portion shows individuals experiencing the results of negative actions. The light half circle, instead, indicates people experiencing the results of positive actions and attaining spiritual ascension.
