Wrathful Vajravarahi Thangka | Dorje Phagmo | Red Dakini | Goddess of Tantric Wisdom Power
The wrathful Vajravarahi Thangka is esteemed within Tibetan Buddhism for its significance in dispelling spiritual ignorance. It is meticulously hand-painted on cotton canvas, employing natural stone pigments and authentic 24K gold to accentuate her sacred and dynamic qualities. The depiction of Dorje Phagmo in this thangka emanates the intensity and transformative energy she embodies, rendering it an inspiring artifact suitable for any meditation environment or spiritual collection.
Vajravarahi is depicted in a dynamic dancing posture, symbolizing her active participation in the world to assist beings in overcoming their ego and illusions. She is holding a curved knife in her right hand, signifying her ability to cut through ignorance, and a skull cup in her left, filled with the nectar of compassion. Her crown is decorated with five skulls, symbolizing the transformation of humanity's five poisons into five wisdoms. Vajravarahi, often portrayed as a vengeful yet compassionate figure, is a principal dakini in Vajrayana Buddhism. She is admired as a shining example of wisdom and enlightenment. Her name means "Diamond Sow," referring to her head ornament that shows a sow's head and symbolizes her triumph over ignorance. Vajravarahi is regarded as a manifestation of other female deities, such as Vajrayogini, and is esteemed for her capacity to penetrate spiritual materialism and illusion.
